National Health Mission

The National Health Mission (NHM) is a comprehensive health initiative in India, integrating the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) and the National Urban Health Mission (NUHM). Its primary objectives are to enhance the health system across both rural and urban areas. The program focuses on various health components, including Reproductive-Maternal-Neonatal-Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A), as well as the management and prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases. The NHM aims to provide universal access to equitable, affordable, and high-quality health care services that are accountable and responsive to the needs of the population.
