The Aajeevika logo, representing the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana – National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM), embodies the program’s core mission to uplift rural communities through sustainable livelihood development. The logo typically features elements symbolizing growth, self-reliance, and empowerment, such as hands or figures representing community support and unity, often set against a green or earthy color palette that signifies rural prosperity. This iconography reflects DAY-NRLM’s goals of providing the rural poor, especially women, with opportunities to enhance their household income, skills, and access to financial services, aiming to reach millions of rural poor across India.
Aajeevika was launched in June 2011 by the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) of the Government of India. The program aims to help the rural poor increase their household income through sustainable livelihoods and improved access to financial services.
